According to the association's bylaws, the board of directors consists of a minimum of three and a maximum of five members, as well as a maximum of four alternate members. These individuals are elected simultaneously by the association at the annual general meeting for the period up until the next annual general meeting has been held, i.e., approximately one year. However, since the board constitutes itself according to the bylaws, the assignment of roles among regular members may change during the year without the need for an extraordinary general meeting.

In addition to a member, a person who belongs to the member's family household and who resides in the association's building may also be elected as a member or alternate member.
