Regularly check that the smoke alarm is working properly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-vimeo wp-block-embed-vimeo wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Good advice on better fire protection in the home\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/888986463?dnt=1&amp;app_id=122963\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\"><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Safe battery management<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">More and more people have larger rechargeable batteries at home, for example from electric bicycles.&nbsp;<br>Good advice when charging batteries:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Charge when you are awake and at home, near a working smoke alarm.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Avoid charging in your escape route, in the hall.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Charge on a flat and hard surface, free from flammable furnishings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use the original charger and make sure the charger and cord are intact.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Charge directly into the charging socket, avoid extension cords and power strips.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unplug the cord when you are finished charging.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pay attention to damage, if the battery has been dropped, or if it is abnormally hot.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Store the battery indoors when not in use, at a temperature between 10-20 degrees.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Here&#039;s what to do if a fire starts:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If there is smoke or a fire in a battery, evacuate and call 112.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If detected early, you can try to extinguish the fire with a fire blanket or fire extinguisher.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proceed with extreme caution and avoid inhaling the fumes.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Information comes from the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB).<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Brands\u00e4kerhet Vi vill p\u00e5minna om vikten av att ha fungerande brandvarnare och g\u00e4rna en brandfilt p\u00e5 plats i hemmet.
